A very important part of your boat and sometimes
easily overlooked is your boat canopy. Your boat
canopy has many functions, from protecting the
electrical system and interior trim from salt
water damage, to protecting you from the sun,
rain and wind.
It should also afford good all round visibility
whilst enhancing the look of your boat. Over
time, your canopy may start to show signs of
wear and tear. The windows will become cloudy
and scratched, material might get torn, or
problems with stitching, cracks and broken zips
with missing teeth.
Most small problems just need a repair to keep
your canopy and boat in good order. But when the
cost of repairs become too great, then it may be
time for a new canopy. At Sydney motor Trimmers
all our canopies and biminis are custom made
using only the highest quality marine materials.
Cockpit Tonneau
Providing protection for the cockpit during
inclement weather preserves your upholstery from
U.V light and lessens the risk of mildew. The
cockpit tonneau offers added security and can
act as a winter cover in the out of season
months.
The tonneau cover can be attached to the aft
edge of a canopy with heavy-duty nylon zips, or
can be fitted flat from the windscreen to the
transom.
Flybridge Tonneau
The flybridge tonneau is essential for the
protection of the instruments, seating and
equipment situated on the flybridge of a
powerboat/motor cruiser.
Manufactured in either UV stable acrylic canvas
or easy to maintain PVC, the flybridge tonneau
is installed to the side of the flybridge with
either webbing tensioning straps or with loops
of high quality shockcord tensioning to nylon or
stainless steel lancing buttons. Available in
many colours, our flybridge tonneau is supplied
with adjustable poles to help "peak" the cover
to aid the dispersal of water.
Flybridge Bimini
A flybridge Bimini is a self supporting sun
shade that has been developed for the helmsman
and their guests on a hot summer's day.
Manufactured using a UV stable and shower
resistant acrylic canvas, available in a wide
range of colours enabling easy co-ordination to
your craft.
The flybridge bimini can either fit directly to
the handrail on the flybridge, or onto sliding
tracks with lockable cars. The bimini is
designed to be raised and lowered with ease.
Forward and Aft Canopy
The majority of power crafts on the market
today are designed for all seasons, all
locations and all weather conditions. Both in
classic and modern styles the protection of a
power crafts’ occupants and instruments have
always been considered a necessity, therefore,
the construction of the forward and aft canopies
have evolved to be a vital part of the shape and
appearance of your power craft.
In our opinion, any design or style of canopy
always has room for improvement. For example, by
continuing the angle of windscreen through to
the canopy front panel, this will visually
improve the aesthetics as well as enhance the
aero-dynamics.
Cockpit Canopy
The available cockpit space on board a motor
or power craft can be utilised to its full
potential with the addition of a cockpit canopy.
Not only will the canopy extend the living and
usable area, it will provide protection for you,
your crew and the cockpit area from bad weather
conditions.
The extra space gained by adding the canopy can
now be maximised in other ways. For example, it
will provide extra accommodation, space to hang
your wet weather clothing or even a room in
which to socialise with your family or friends.
